For many of us, it can be tempting to keep our distance and mind our own business in our neighbourhood. Especially during a time of pandemic and physical distancing, we go out of our way to keep our distance. But is that really how God wants us to live?
Jesus said: ‘“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbour as yourself.” All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’ (Matthew 22:37-40)
If we push past the fear, time barriers, and pride that can keep us from engaging with others, we can build deep connections with the people in our neighbourhoods and, most importantly, please God.
At 7 pm on Wednesdays in May, Pastor Aaron is leading a four-part, online, Zoom-based Bible Study titled Love your Neighbour. We will look at Jesus' instructions on how to love our neighbour and explore creative and safe ways to do so while respecting physical distancing. Please join us!
